Furosemide, a potent diuretic, is used for management of different clinical oedemas and hypertension.
Cardiovascular Drugs-(Diuretics)
It is prescribed to treat fluid retention(edema),congestive heart failure,kidney disorder such as nephrotic syndrome.

It should be taken orally.
Furosemide inhibits reabsorption of Na and Cl mainly in the medullary portion of the ascending loop of Henle. Excretion of K and ammonia is also increased while uric acid excretion is reduced. It increases plasma-renin activity, plasma-norepinephrine and plasma-arginine-vasopressin concentrations.
Report to your Physician if the patients are allergic to that or any other drug. Caution should be taken in patients with diabetes mellitus, hepatic cirrhosis, gout, impaired micturition, renal and hepatic impairement, elderly patients.
Severe sodium, water depletion, hypersensitivity to sulphonamides, furosemide, hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia, precomatose states associated with liver cirrhosis, anuria or renal failure, Addison’s disease

Amiloride hydrochloride is a potassium-sparing diuretic, used in the management of hypertension and congestive heart failure.
Diuretics- (Potassium sparing diuretics)
Amiloride hydrochloride is prescribed for using as adjunctive treatment with thiazide diuretics or other kaliuretic-diuretic agents in congestive heart failure or hypertension.

It should be taken orally.
Amiloride is a weak diuretic which acts mainly on the distal renal tubules. It increases the excretion of sodium and reduces the excretion of potassium. It diminishes kaliuretic effects of other diuretics, and may produce an additional natriuretic effect.
Should be taken in patients having:
• Hyperkalaemia
Report to the physician if the patients are allergic to Amiloride hydrochloride or any other drugs.
Hyperkalaemia
Report to the physician immediately if the patients are having any of these following symptoms:
• Hyperkalaemia
• Hyponatraemia
• Gastrointestinal disturbances
• Paraesthesia
• Thirst
• Dizziness
• Skin rash
• Pruritus
• Weakness
• Muscle cramps
• Headache
• Minor psychiatric or visual changes
• Orthostatic hypotension

Food reduces bioavailability.
Consumption of alcohol is not advisable.
Pregnancy Category: B & D (if used in gestational hypertension)
