Phenylephrine is an adrenergic drug used as a nasal and ocular decongestant and also treating hypotensive states and arrythmias.
Sympathomimetics- (Mydriatics/Anticonjunctivitis/Cough sedatives)
Phenylephrine is prescribed for the treatment of:
• Nasal congestion
• Hypotensive states
• Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia
• Rectal haemorrhoids
• Conjunctival congestion
As advised by the physician.
According to the dosage forms the following routes of administration are available:
Phenylephrine is a sympathomimetic with mainly direct effects on alpha-adrenergic receptors and weak beta-adrenergic activity. It causes vasoconstriction of the arterioles of the nasal mucosa and conjunctiva; activates the dilator muscle of the pupil to cause contraction; produces vasoconstriction of arterioles in the body and produces systemic arterial vasoconstriction.
Should be taken in patients having:
• Partial heart block
• Coronary artery disease
Report to the physician if the patients are allergic to phenylephrine or any other drugs.
Hypertension, ventricular tachycardia, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), narrow-angle glaucoma
Report to the physician immediately if the patients are having any of these following symptoms:
• Difficulty in passing urine
• Swelling of the face
• Slow heart action
• Difficulty in breathing
If allergic to any food, please consult with the physician.
Consumption of alcohol is not advisable.
Pregnancy Category: C

Solution for injection: Store vials at 15°C-30°C.
Ophthalmic solution: Store at controlled room temperature. Some products are stored at room temperature, others under refrigeration at 2°C-8°C.
Cetirizine, a second-generation antihistamine, is used in the treatment of allergies, hay fever, angioedema, and urticaria.

It is prescribed to treat Allergic condition, hives, sneezing, watery eyes, runny nose.
As advised by your Physician. Usually It may be taken with or without food.
It should be taken orally.
Cetirizine hydrochloride, a human metabolite of hydroxyzine, is an antihistamine works by selectively inhibiting the effect of peripheral H( )-receptors .
Report to your Physician if the patients are allergic to that or any other drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs the patients had. This includes telling about rash, itching, shortness of breath.Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that requires alertness until the surity of performing such activities safely.
Urticaria, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dry mouth, intrahepatic cholestasis, severe acute hepatitis, weight gain, asthenia, somnolence, sedation, fatigue, headache.
If allergic to any food, please consult with physician.
