Chlorzoxazone is an centrally acting muscle relaxant and used in painful musculoskeletal disorders.
Muscle relaxant
Treatment of muscle spasm and the resulting pain or discomfort.
As advised by the physician.
Usually it may be taken with food.
It should be taken orally.
Chlorzoxazone acts at the level of the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain where it inhibits multisynaptic areas involved in producing and maintaining skeletal muscle spasm. Chlorzoxazone may act by inhibiting calcium and potassium influx which would lead to neuronal inhibition and muscle relaxation.
Inform the physician if the patient is allergic to the active ingredients and any other drugs. Brief about the allergy and the signs like:
• Rash
• Itching
• Shortness of breath
• Swelling of face, lips, tongue or throat or any other signs
The patient should tell the doctor about any history of liver disease.
This drug may make you drowsy. Do not drive a car or operate machinery while you are taking this medication.
Hypersensitivity, liver disease, porphyria, lactation
Report to the physician immediately if the patients are having any of these following symptoms:
• Black
• Bloody or tarry stools
• Nausea
• Upper stomach pain
• Itching
• Loss of appetite
• Dark urine
• Clay-colored stools
• Jaundice

Paracetamol exhibits analgesic action by peripheral blockage of painimpulse generation. It produces antipyresis by inhibiting the hypothalamic heat-regulating centre. Its weak anti-inflammatory activity is related to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the CNS.

Aceclofenac is an Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug, which is used to reduce inflammation and pain in certain inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)
Aceclofenac is used to prescribe for the relief of pain and inflammation in:
• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Ankylosing spondylitis

Usually it is taken with food. Take with or immediately after meals.

Route of administration – Oral, parenteral, topical
Aceclofenac, a phenylacetic acid derivative, is a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase enzyme, involved in the production of prostaglandins, causing marked anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
Precautions should be taken if patients have:
• Ulcerative colitis
• Crohn’s disease
• Bleeding diathesis or haematological abnormalities
• Or previously had asthma
• History of hypertension
• Mild to moderate congestive heart failure or risk for cardiovascular disease
• History of cerebrovascular bleeding
• Hepatic and mild renal impairment
This drug may cause dizziness, vertigo, drowsiness, fatigue and visual disturbances, if affected, precaution should be taken while driving or operating machinery.
Aceclofenac must not be used in the following conditions:
• Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient(s) or to any of the excipients of the medicine or to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
• Active or history of peptic ulcer or haemorrhage
• History of active bleeding or bleeding disorders
• History of bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy
• Congestive heart failure, ischaemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease, severe heart failure, other cerebrovascular disease
• Moderate to severe renal and severe hepatic impairment
• Pregnancy (3rd trimester)

• Dyspepsia
• Abdominal pain
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Constipation
• Rash
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Paraesthaesia
• Bronchospasm
• Visual disturbance
